Medical Record Storage
The Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, had plans to relocate to a larger modern building. The hospital’s extensive patient records were being stored in an older high-density mobile shelving system, but the moving shelves were too high for the low ceilings of the new space and didn’t fit the fresh contemporary aesthetic the Hospital was adopting. In addition, it was important for the new healthcare center to maximize the space allocated for patient files and offer room to grow with the Hospital.
Datum’s MobileTrak3® low-profile high-density storage system was the perfect storage solution for securely storing patient files. Designed to maximize storage capacity in challenging spaces, the MobileTrak3® is ideal for areas with low ceilings or obstructions like sprinkler systems or pipes. In addition, the hospital opted to incorporate Datum’s ThinStak® thin profile shelving in the system to maximize the vertical space and chose a modern custom laminate to match the new area.
Combining the custom low-profile mobile system and shelving gave The Women & Infants Hospital the storage and look they needed.
