Athletic Storage: Kennesaw State University

When Kennesaw State University decided to start a football program, they realized they needed help meeting the storage needs of the new program. The space dedicated to the program was cramped and had a steel support column in the room, making it difficult to plan out the necessary storage shelving and units needed to hold various sports equipment and gear. In addition, the limited space also needed to accommodate an area for equipment maintenance and repair.

Datum worked with the athletic department and university staff to design a custom MobileTrak, high-density storage system, that not only met the needs of the new program but maximized the space’s capacity, giving the program room to grow. The movable shelving provided ample shelving and pull-out drawers for uniform and equipment storage, such as helmets. In addition to a universal modular panel system and custom shoulder pad storage, an area was created for equipment maintenance and repair, keeping the Kennesaw State Owls always game-day ready.
